A message from Father D’Angelo on his six months at the Church of Saint Ann-Saint Lucy:
Dear Parish Family of Saint Ann-Saint Lucy, As I complete my first six months as your pastor, I want to take a moment to thank each of you for your warm welcome, constant support, and deep love for our parish. It is with joy and gratitude that I share what we have accomplished together in this short time:
We have thoroughly deep-cleaned the church, rectory, and convent, removing years of debris and resolving pest and rodent issues.
Heating and hot water systems in the rectory have been fully restored.
The top two floors of the rectory have been renovated with fresh paint, improved lighting, and new bathroom facilities.
We remodeled the rectory kitchen and dining room with new cabinets, flooring, appliances, and furniture—now available to support parish events and activities.
The sacristy was renovated with new paint, flooring, and secure cabinetry for vestments and sacred vessels.
Beautiful new shrines to Our Lady of Guadalupe and Our Mother of Perpetual Help now grace the east and west transepts of the church.
After more than 12 years, the scaffolding obscuring the church’s facade has been removed, restoring its original beauty.
A new garage door has been installed.
We introduced a weekly Sunday bulletin, available in print and online.
For the first time, our parish has a website, at www.saintann-lucy.org.
All of this has been possible thanks to your generosity, faith, and commitment. There is still more work to be done: renovating the rectory business offices, beautifying the church’s exterior, and restoring the courtyard and garden. Eventually, we hope to repaint the exteriors of both the church and rectory as part of our vision for a renewed and vibrant parish home. I am deeply grateful for your prayers and your presence. May God continue to bless you and your families, and may you never lack health, peace, or love in your homes. With gratitude and affection in Christ, Father D’Angelo Pastor, Saint Ann-Saint Lucy
