As you walk down East 110th Street toward the Church of Saint Ann-Saint Lucy, you may not recognize where you are, because the scaffolding that had obscured the church facade for 12 long years is finally gone!
Workers finished removing the scaffolding on March 22, revealing the classic beauty of our 112-year-old church. The scaffolding had remained in place because of a dispute with a contractor, and efforts to remove it dragged on for years.
You will see that the facade now needs a new coat of paint, so scaffolding will likely return at some point in the future. But for now, please enjoy a view of the church that many of our parents and grandparents -- and great-grandparents! -- would remember.
